Monza Park

Monza Park

Surrounded by a wall of over 14 kilometres, Monza Park is the largest enclosed park in Europe. The green space covers 700 hectares and is located north of the city. It was officially established in 1805 as an extension of the existing Royal Gardens at the behest of Josephine Bonaparte, who wanted to build a park larger than that of Versailles. An ideal place to relax or enjoy sporting activities, it can be visited on foot, on skates, by bicycle, or on horseback. Since 1922 it has been home to the Monza Circuit, recognised as one of the most important and prestigious motor racing circuits in the world.
